  • Gardens & Beyond Gift Card Fundraiser Begins
    Immanuel’s Youth Group will be available at the Welcome Center between the services May 3 and May 10 to sell Gardens & Beyond Gift Cards for $35 each(These cards can be used at their King Road or Sterling Heights or Macomb stores.)
    The youth will earn $5 for every gift card sold to help fund their Youth Group trips!
  • Today – “Baby Bottle Bounce Back” Begins
    As we celebrate Mother’s Day, please join the ministry of Spero
    in helping moms and dads who are experiencing unplanned pregnancy to choose life for their baby.  No matter how full,
    your bottle helps save over 800 families in your community.
    It’s easy to help!  Please pick up your bottle today and fill it with cash, coins, or a check payable to “Spero” and return it to church on or before Father’s Day – Sunday, June 21
  • Staying Plugged In! Pastor Jim would like to invite you (members and non-members alike who have not already attended) to come to his “Staying Plugged In” presentation on Monday, May 18, at 6:30 p.m.  It will be a time to look at what it means to be and remain fully engaged in our relationship with God as well as in the life of the church.

  • Lutheran Faith Class
    Pastor Jim will be offering a 7-week “doctrinal review class” beginning on Tuesday, May 19, at 6:30 p.m.  (The subsequent classes will be scheduled based upon the availability of the participants and the teacher.)  This class is open to anyone, whether you are considering membership at Immanuel or would just like to come to a “refresher” class about our Lutheran Doctrine.

    The plan is to meet at C.J. Barrymore’s at 10:40 a.m. and pick up at 3:30 p.m.

    “Rainforest Falls” Vacation Bible School
    July 13–17, from 9:00–11:30 a.m.

    Online registration is now open for both attendees and volunteers.

  • 2026 MI District High School Gathering – Mackinac Island
    Mighty Waters
    is the theme this year and what better location for the event than Mackinac Island where you are surrounded by water!  The event is June 28 – July 1 and is for those currently in Grades 8-12.  Registration is now open and packets are available outside of the Church Office.  Sign up today so you can be part of this wonderful experience!

  • Book Club Please join us at Noon on Tuesday, April 28, in the Library to share a favorite book or two with the group.  We all enjoy hearing about new books and authors.  All are welcome!
  • Tuesday Morning Ladies Upcoming Bible Study:  Psalm 23
    Join us this Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. as we begin a new study that will explore the in-depth meaning of this well-known and beloved Psalm!  There is so much more meaning in these six short verses than most of us realize. 
  • Thursday Morning Bible Study - Join us in the Adult Education Room from 10:00-11:30 AM as we begin a new study on the Book of Matthew.  Matthew presents Jesus as the promised Messiah and King of Israel – fulfilling the Old Testament prophecies – and introduces the Kingdom of Heaven.  Matthew emphasizes Jesus’ authority, mercy, and servant leadership – culminating in His crucifixion, resurrection, and the Great Commission to make disciples. 
  • Pastor Jim’s Bible Study“All About the Bible – meets in the Immanuel Room on Sundays from 9:30-10:15 AM
    • Has the Bible ever felt intimidating to you because there is so much you don't know about it?
    • Would you like to know more about it?
    • Would you like to know what each book of Bible is about?
    • Would you like to know what was going on between the Old and New Testaments
    • Would you like to know how the Bible became the Bible?
      You are invited to come and begin to learn these things and many others about the Bible!
  • Pastor Jim’s “Take 5” Devotions Every Christian needs a daily break from life in order to spend a few minutes of focused, uninterrupted time with God.  Each week, Pastor Jim writes a new “Take 5” which is based on that Sunday’s Sermon and intended to provide a 5-minute daily devotion.  The “Take 5’s” provide a Bible reading along with 3 thought-provoking questions about the reading and our faith-life.  Pick one up at the “Next Step” Station near the Pastors’ Offices and consider making it a daily habit.
