Week of February 15, 2026
- Help Adorn the Altar Area for Easter Sunday It’s time once again to order Easter lilies ($13 each) to help fill our sanctuary with beauty and celebration on Sunday, April 5! The order forms are available at the “Next Step” Station and outside the Church Office. Simply complete the form and return it with your check payable to “Immanuel Lutheran Church” (please write “Easter Lilies” in the memo line).
Your name/dedication will be included in the Easter Sunday bulletin – offering a meaningful way to honor loved ones or give thanks.- Please place your order by Sunday, March 17.
- Lilies may be taken home after the 11:00 AM Easter service.
Any plants not claimed by Tuesday, April 7, will be removed.
- Donations Requested - Every other year, the Michigan District hosts an Office Personnel Conference. The next biennial gathering will take place at the end of April in Frankenmuth.
In support of the Michigan District’s Critical Target of the Great Compassion Ministry, attendees will be assembling personal care kits for Lutheran World Relief — and you can be part of this meaningful effort.
From February 1 through 28, we are collecting the following items:- Lightweight bath‑size towels (20"×40" to 27"×52", dark colors preferred)
- Bath‑size bars of soap (4–5 oz., any brand, in original individual wrapping)
- Adult‑size toothbrushes (single pack, in original packaging)
- Sturdy combs
- Metal nail clippers (attached file optional)
Collection bins will be located in the Narthex and Family Life Center Welcome area. All donated items will be taken to the conference, where they will be packaged into care kits.
Thank you for supporting this important outreach ministry.
Your generosity makes a difference. Every Personal Care Kit will be cherished by the person who receives it in their time of need.

Consider joining us as practice starts up again today immediately following the 8:00 AM service! - Church Mailboxes - Please stop by the table outside the Pastors’ Offices and pick up
a letter about changes to the church mailboxes. - Tuesday Morning Ladies’ Bible Study - Join us in the Immanuel Room from 10:00-11:30 AM as we begin a new study on the Book of James. James was Jesus’ half brother who didn’t recognize Jesus as the messiah at first. But he later became a prominent leader of the early church. We will explore his message to Jewish Christians scattered throughout due to persecution. His message was to live your faith and we will be reminded that genuine faith transforms lives.
- Thursday Morning Bible Study - Join us in the Adult Education Room from 10:00-11:30 AM as we begin a new study on the Book of Matthew. Matthew presents Jesus as the promised Messiah and King of Israel – fulfilling the Old Testament prophecies – and introduces the Kingdom of Heaven. Matthew emphasizes Jesus’ authority, mercy, and servant leadership – culminating in His crucifixion, resurrection, and the Great Commission to make disciples.

- Pastor Jim’s “Take 5” Devotions Every Christian needs a daily break from life in order to spend a few minutes of focused, uninterrupted time with God. Each week, Pastor Jim writes a new “Take 5” which is based on that Sunday’s Sermon and intended to provide a 5-minute daily devotion. The “Take 5’s” provide a Bible reading along with 3 thought-provoking questions about the reading and our faith-life. Pick one up at the “Next Step” Station near the Pastors’ Offices and consider making it a daily habit.
