(2nd Sunday in Lent) Luke 13:31-35 Jesus calls us to abide in His grace (under His wings) so that we may be kept sage. The picture is that of a mother hen keeping her baby chicks safe under her wings. There is danger out there. We don't have to stay under the safety of the "wings of grace." This is why Jesus said to the people, "But you were not willing." It breaks God's heart when people choose to leave His protection. Our main protection is found at the foot of the cross where our sins are paid for and we are declared righteous in God's sight.
